On 07/12/2018, at approximately 9pm, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office began a criminal investigation into an inappropriate relationship between an underage female and her badminton coach. The coach, Khankham Malaythong, of Synergy Badminton in Menlo Park was discovered by Santa Clara County Park Rangers seated in his 2018 Maserati SUV in Joseph Grant Park after park hours. Also, seated in the vehicle was his 17 year old student.
