The "30x30 Pledge" Initiative

In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is participating in “30x30 Pledge”, which is an initiative dedicated to increasing the representation of women in law enforcement agencies across the nation to 30% by the year 2030.

The Sheriff’s Office has approximately 17% female sworn staff (Deputy Sheriff), and 83% male sworn staff. Currently, women make up only 12% of sworn officers and 3% of police leadership in the United States.
