Public Records Request

California Government Code Section § 7920.000 is the California state law allowing members of the general public to request records from a state or local agency.  Not all records at the Sheriff’s Office are releasable under the California Public Records Act (CPRA). See, e.g., Cal. Gov’t Code Sections § 7923.600-625.  The Sheriff’s Office may take up to 10 Days to respond to your request. See Cal. Gov’t Code Section § 7922.535(a).
