The Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff Cadet, Correctional Deputy Cadet and Lateral Deputy Sheriff. Go to GoSheriff.com for more information and to apply.
The Sheriff's office typically offers two agility tests a month from January through September, and one a month from October through December. The Sheriff's office no longer offers the written test on testing dates. All written tests are now available through the National Testing Network (NTN).
As long as you meet the minimum qualifications and can pass the written and agility test, you are eligible to be hired.
The Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requires that you be 21 years of age.
You do not have to be a U.S. Citizen to apply for a job as a Peace Officer in California
