Headquarters Patrol

 

The Headquarters Patrol Division provides 24-hour law enforcement patrol services to the unincorporated areas of Central and East San Jose as well as the areas of Mount Hamilton, San Antonio Valley, and San Felipe Valley.  The Headquarters Patrol Division also provides patrol services to the unincorporated areas of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and the town of San Martin.  The Sheriff’s Office provides a high level of proactive police services to residents, schools, and the businesses within our jurisdiction with a strong emphasis on community service.  

The Sheriff’s Office Parks Patrol Unit provides law enforcement services for the 28 regional parks and lakes managed by the Santa Clara County Parks Department. The Headquarters Patrol Division also operates a Rural Crimes Unit which specializes in the investigation and enforcement associated with rural farming businesses and violations of fish and game and natural resource related laws.  There is also an emphasis placed on preventing the abuse, misuse and destruction of wildlife and related resources in collaboration with California Department of Fish and Wildlife and other agencies.  The Rural Crimes deputies handle calls for service in both the east foothills of San Jose as well as in South County.
