California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (Cal-MMET)

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Methamphetamine Team was formed in October of 2006.  It is funded by the Cal-MMET grant from the state Office of Emergency Services (OES).  One sergeant and four deputies are assigned full-time to the team.

Cal-MMET Objectives

• Target methamphetamine manufacturing, selling and trafficking
• Identification, apprehension and successful prosecution of violators
• Assist other law enforcement agencies concerning methamphetamine investigations
• Educate the community concerning the hazards associated with methamphetamine usage
